A St Ives Harbour Hotel Wedding | A Mullion Church Ceremony, Sea Shanties & A Love-Filled Celebration
Some weddings just have that effortless magic—the kind where you can feel the love, laughter, and energy from start to finish. That was exactly the case for this incredible St Ives Harbour Hotel wedding, where a red-haired bride and groom (seriously, the most stunning couple) tied the knot after a heartfelt ceremony at Mullion Church.
From a Windswept Engagement at Kynance Cove to the Wedding Day
Before the wedding, we had the most unreal engagement session at Kynance Cove. If you've never been, it's one of the most breathtaking spots in Cornwall—turquoise waters, dramatic cliffs, and the kind of scenery that makes you feel like you've stepped straight into a postcard.
And of course, they brought their amazing spaniel along, who pretty much stole the show. Bounding across the grass, ears flapping in the wind—it was the perfect addition to such a fun and relaxed shoot. These two are the kind of couple who just light up around each other, and capturing their connection in such an incredible setting was a dream.
A Classic Ceremony at Mullion Church & a Coastal Reception at St Ives Harbour Hotel
Fast-forward to the wedding day, and the atmosphere was nothing short of magical. The ceremony took place at Mullion Church, a beautiful, character-filled spot nestled in the Cornish countryside. The moment the bride walked down the aisle, you could feel the emotion in the room—eyes welling up, the groom (a proud Navy man) holding back tears, and guests grinning from ear to ear.
After a confetti-filled exit, we made our way to St Ives Harbour Hotel, one of the most stunning wedding venues in Cornwall. With its panoramic sea views, elegant reception space, and relaxed coastal vibe, it was the perfect setting for a celebration.
A Wedding Reception with Sea Shanties & Dancing into the Night
Now, this reception was something special. They had a live sea shanty band, and let me tell you—Cornish weddings don’t get much better than this. The energy in the room was unreal. Guests were clapping, stomping, and singing along before spilling onto the dance floor, where the party carried on late into the night.
For me, as a documentary wedding photographer in Cornwall, this kind of wedding is everything I love to capture. The joy was so natural, the moments so real, and the whole day was filled with the kind of candid, unscripted interactions that make weddings truly unforgettable.
Final touches to the brides hair
