Recently I assisted photographing a wedding at Carbis Bay Hotel and the ceremony was held at the main church in st ives. Carbis Bay is an awesome location and I had been looking forward to going along to this wedding for awhile. The weather was even ok for the time of the year though a tad windy in the town. Joe and Kerry were the couple to be wed and photographed and it was a privilege to be go along. As I arrived at the hotel I met up with the main photographer and we head into the hotel. I was then tasked to take location photos and some details that were already set up for later on, within the hotel.
Victoria Walker Photography was the main photographer for the day and I was glad she had me along as it was at such a lovely location. With the lovely conservatory and the main banquet hall Carbis Bay Hotel lends itself as a great wedding location, as well as only being a short walk from the beach. The beach of course lending itself for portraits and fun shots of the groomsmen etc
The Ceremony was lovely and they even had a lady singing after the vows. The attendance was pretty high as well and plenty of moments to capture.
We then headed out for a few location photographs in St Ives and managed to get some great ones of the newlyweds on the harbour front. Due to the high level of winds though it didn't last long till we ended up back at the Carbis Bay Hotel for a few more location shots on the beach.
Then we moved on back to Carbis Bay Hotel and we got started on the food and reception. Carbis bay is a great wedding venue to photograph and they had it kitted out with "LOVE" lights and a sweet cart and dj and everything, was really something. As well as it nearly being christmas so they had christmas decorations all over the venue.
So overall a very enjoyable wedding to photograph in st ives, and I think I provided them with some images to remember the moments of their special day for a life time.
