A Summer wedding in Bude for Ross & Jessica Pollard

I always love weddings in August and having never been to Bude before I jumped at the chance when an old work colleague messaged me about her daughter getting married and that she would be needing photography. The marriage took place in St Swithin's church which was pretty close to widemouth bay and Treyeo farm which is where the reception was held. There was about a hundred guests in the church and it was a beautifully clear day which was great as we had, had rain up until the day and even the day after I believe. So with the blessing of good weather the church soon filled up and the light was streaming in from the windows of the beautiful St Swithin's church tucked away in Bude.

This wedding was also a little more extra special as the Bride and Groom Jessica and Ross had a little son called rupert and not only did he take great photos but he got christened after the ceremony. So I got the privilege to be there and capture it all. I thoroughly enjoyed the whole day and near the end to get a massive group shot of all the guests I was put up in a telehandler to get a the big photo! Great weather, great food and great enjoyment was had by all so a definite success of a wedding.

Once the ceremony was over we took to the road for a short journey to Widemouth Bay which was stunning and full of people for a portrait session on the clifftops. We captured a shared moment on this special couples wedding day.

And finally we retreated to a lovely reception venue on the father of the groom's farm near bude, where they had an amazing marquee set up which was made of a hexagonal structure. They had amazing caters set up as well as a dancefloor for the end of the evening. All of which went without a hitch and was enjoyed by everyone.

All finished up with the first dance and what a special moment it is so share when the couple share a dance for their family and friends.

What a wedding I got back and was buzzing and new I was going to have fun going through and editing the photos. If any of the guests need the password for the gallery then give me a shout and I'll send it over for you and you enter it in on the clients portal
